Rauchy dancer Bev Sibanda fires manager. She, however, told H-Metro Entertainment & Lifestyle last night that multi-tasking was strenuous. “I have removed Harpers from my WhatsApp group after realising that he was no longer part of the family.
Raunchy dancer Beverly “Bev” Sibanda has sensationally parted ways with manager of 11 years Harpers Mapimhidze via a text message. The 28-year-old, who took her followers by surprise after removing Harpers from their WhatsApp group, said she was now running her own affairs.
“Harpers is now employed at City Sports Bar where he has been managing the pub and it seems he is enjoying his job there. “Ever since the relaxation of the Covid-19 restrictions, Harpers has not been looking for shows as he appears busy, which prompted me to organise my own shows for survival.
“I sent him a text message informing him that I had fired him and it’s up to him to take the message or not,” she said. The Sexy Angles boss said she fired Harpers after realising that he was no longer committed to her brand.
“To date, I have been making bookings on my own after realising that Harpers was now committed to his new job. “I can’t force him to continue helping me if he has found a new home.
“To make matters worse, he has been hosting other groups at City Sports Bar and has never invited us,” she said. Asked how she was managing to balance her busy schedules as a multi-tasking woman, Bev explained:
“Sometimes its strenuous doing a lot of things but we are getting there. “I now have three boys and three ladies which makes my outfit a seven-member group. “We are doing our best as a group and we will see how it happens.”
Despite partying ways with Harpers via a text message, Bev said she was not in a hurry to find the replacement. “I am managing myself for now,” she added.
Harpers who also doubles as the Dancers Association of Zimbabwe president confirmed their ‘divorce’ saying he was now committed on his new job. “It’s true that I have parted company with Bev due to the new commitments that I have at City Sports Bar.
“I have been working here for the greater part of the lockdown and I now have a demanding schedule so I don’t think I will be able to continue managing her. “I have been managing Bev since 2010 and you can see it has been 11 solid years that I have assisted her,” he said. Harpers is credited for making Bev a brand she is today as he also handled the dancer’s domestic issues.
Whether the two have genuinely parted ways or not, they will surely miss each other’s expertise. It would not be an easy task for Bev to find a replacement, according to showbiz watchers.
“The two had become a tag team which dominated the showbiz but in in life we always met to part and this is the case now,” said a fellow dancer who preferred anonymity.
