Shasha takes 2021 by storm

AWARD-WINNING diva Charmaine “ShaSha” Mapimbiro has taken 2021 by storm following major award nominations and a soundtrack in the movie Coming to America 2.
The Amapiano queen has been nominated for three awards in the upcoming Star FM Listener’s Choice Awards which are the Best Female Artist, Best House/Amapiano and Best RnB with her feature with top rapper Hillzy.
Speaking to H-Metro, ShaSha said she although 2020 was a great year for her career, 2021 is looking great and is very optimistic.
“2020 was a great year for me because we won the BET award but 2021 is looking great, the movie Coming to America 2 is on its way, dropping on March 5, and I’m featuring on one of the soundtracks alongside Oxlade.
“I’m also featuring on Nigerian Afrobeats and Record Producer Killer Tunes’ single alongside Major Lazor’s Walshyfire and the track is expected to drop anytime soon, so there’s so much to look forward to from Shasha this year,” she said.
Coming 2 America is an upcoming American comedy film directed by Craig Brewer, from a screenplay by Kenya Barris, Barry W. Blaustein, and David Sheffield, and a story by Blaustein, Sheffield, and Justin Kanew, based on characters created by Eddie Murphy.
It is the second instalment in the Coming to America film series, and serves as a sequel to the original 1988 film.
The film stars Murphy, Arsenio Hall, Jermaine Fowler, Leslie Jones, Tracy Morgan, KiKi Layne, Shari Headley, Teyana Taylor, Wesley Snipes, and James Earl Jones.
Originally to be theatrically released by Paramount Pictures, the film’s distribution rights were sold to Amazon Studios due to the Covid-19 pandemic and Amazon is set to release it digitally on Prime Video on March 5, 2021. Hmetro
